Microsoft is announcing the successor to the Xbox 360 on May 21st. With that in mind, Anthony Villanueva, Franky Ordaz, Luke Maxwell, Jason Arriola and a fashionably late Vanessa Maestas band together to talk about the rumors flying around about what this announcement will bring and what they would like to see happen. Luke also makes his bid to the world to head up advertising for Microsoft.

Blood Dragon is quite the sales pitch for Far Cry 3. After spending some time with them, the first two Far Cry games didn’t do anything that made me latch onto them. Hell, I never even gave the third entry a try. After putting in six or eight hours into Blood Dragon, I might be reconsidering that choice….

Nun Attack Review | Games and Junk

Nun Attack Review | Games and Junk:

Where do I even begin with Nun Attack? I guess first and foremost I should mention the story. The game is set in a world where prayers are no longer answered and evil is running rampant. Apparently the only solution to this problem is for a group of nuns to start packing heat and busting caps in a search of a former sister who has turned against them. This is kind of an entertaining premise for a game and I appreciate the tongue-in-cheek nature of it, so things are setup nicely for a fun experience….

Dragon Fantasy: Book One Review | Games and Junk

Dragon Fantasy: Book One Review | Games and Junk:

If you tend to avoid iOS games, there’s a good chance you had never heard ofDragon Fantasy prior to it coming to PSN. Dragon Fantasy is a tribute, right down to its namesake, to older Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy (see what they did there?) games. There are a lot of indie developers that cut their teeth on this style of game. That’s with good reason, as the simple mechanics and controls lend themselves to multiple platforms quite well. What does Dragon Fantasy do to separate itself from the pack? Let’s take a look at it….

Raiden Legacy Comes to PC and Mac | Games and Junk

Raiden Legacy Comes to PC and Mac | Games and Junk:

If you’ve been itching for some classic shooter action that isn’t in the bullet hell style,Raiden Legacy released today on PC and the Mac App Store. This collection contains the same games as the Xbox 360 Raiden Fighters Aces (Raiden, Raiden Figters 1,Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighter Jet) and the collection that released on iOS and Android platforms late last year…

You Like References?
My review of Dragon Fantasy will be up shortly, but in the meantime, I thought I’d share some of the more funny lines I’ve found in the game. Some of the enemies are quite cleverly named and the guys at Muteki made some nice puns. I grabbed a few of them while playing the Vita version to share.

Gran Turismo 6 Coming This Holiday | Games and Junk

Gran Turismo 6 Coming This Holiday | Games and Junk:

In a slightly surprising bit of news, Capcom has confirmed that the newest entry in the Ace Attorney series, Dual Destinies, will be coming to the 3DS in the US and Europe this fall. It does come with a slight catch: it’s only going to be available as a eShop download….

Dragon’s Crown Gets An Artbook And Official Cover Art | Games and Junk

Dragon’s Crown Gets An Artbook And Official Cover Art | Games and Junk:
Have you not had enough of staring at the…unique…art of Dragon’s Crown? Well, you have the chance to stare at the disproportionate figures of the Witch and Amazon without that pesky need of having your Vita, Playstation 3, or any device capable of connecting to the internet. Atlus is giving a 64 page, softcover artbook to fans that preorder (which you pick upon release, if the Gamestop employees haven’t kept them for themselves, that is) Dragon’s Crown for either the Vita or PS3. You’ll get art of the characters (dat ass) and environments, along with notes from the artist, George Kamitani, who also happens to be the president of Vanillaware, the development studio behind the game….

Quick Stealth: Fearless | Games and Junk

Quick Stealth: Fearless | Games and Junk:

Fearless is a game created in 72 hours by Ben L. Grauer aka Drag0nSix; it’s a stealth action game in which the player (a blue guy) must avoid enemies (red guys) and collect power-ups. Each power-up (represented by a glowing blue sphere) grants the player rudimentary video game ability, I found the jump sphere first, and this allowed me to reach the crouch sphere, which in turn opened the path to an invisibility sphere…

Ben L. I would’ve gushed at you about how Bioshock Infinite represents a new pinnacle of interactive entertainment and how it ushers in an age of sophistication. I would’ve gushed and gushed and gushed; 10 out of 10, five out of five, the best of the best. Chances are a lot of the early reviews of the game came from that same place, a place of euphoria, a place where nothing is wrong and everything is perfect…

Plants vs. Zombies 2 Announcement | Games and Junk

Plants vs. Zombies 2 Announcement | Games and Junk:
The zombies are coming…again!

Obligatory May 4th Star Wars Post (Two Days Late) | Games and Junk

Obligatory May 4th Star Wars Post (Two Days Late) | Games and Junk:
Photo courtesy of Seattle Police Department.

I was told we were a bad nerd site because we didn’t do anything for May 4th, so I’ll touch on this story I heard about to make up for it.

Instead of helping the forces of good, the owner of this “lightsaber” caused quite the stir in the transit tunnel in downtown Seattle on 28 April 2013. Found in the tunnel, commuters called police to inform them of the suspicious device. Responding to the call and shutting down the tunnel temporarily, Seattle PD’s arson and bomb unit investigated the device. The item was revealed to be harmless, merely a discarded attempt at a homemade lightsaber.

I suppose if this was the fruits of my labor, I’d probably have tossed it myself. Guess this guy didn’t even make padawan.

Gunman Clive Review | Games and Junk

Gunman Clive Review | Games and Junk:

Platforms: iPhone, Android, and Nintendo 3DS (reviewed)

Nintendo systems never have a shortage of solid platformers. With Mario already making an appearance on the 3DS twice in its short life, it’s probably hard for some non-Nintendo franchises to get some of the mindshare of its consumers. Even more difficult is overcoming the lack of acknowledgement Nintendo gives its eShop offerings, leading to some gems being overlooked. How did I end up finding and purchasing Gunman Clive? Knowing nothing about it, the art style caught my eye and the price, $1.99, had me opening my virtual wallet….

Revisiting The Dark World | Games and Junk

Revisiting The Dark World | Games and Junk:
